They did not release their names but revealed they both lived in the 75225 zip code, putting the county on high alert.  Both victims were elderly men with underlying health conditions. So far, 194 West Nile cases have been reported in Dallas, Tarrant, Denton and Collin counties, and 94 of them have been in Dallas County.

There will be more mosquito sprayings  in our area between 10 p.m. and 3 a.m. Wednesday night into Thursday morning, and neighbors are cautioned to keep themselves and their pets indoors.  Sprayings will occur in two areas. One is bound on the north by Walnut Hill, on the west by Hillcrest, on the south by East Northwest Highway, and on the east by Central Expressway. The second is bound by Royal on the north, Hillcrest on the west, Walnut Hill on the south and on the east by Central Expressway (that is, Meadows neighbors..).

Other ways you can protect yourself: try to avoid staying outside during dawn and dusk; clean up any standing water; spray clothes with mosquito repellant
